Stress is a fact of life. Our stress response can be positive in situations that alert us to danger. Those same stress responses can have negative effects on our minds and bodies if they continue when we no longer need to be on alert. Sustained stress can contribute to high blood pressure, chest pain, problems sleeping, anxiety, and stomach problems, to name a few. How we manage our stress is a contributing factor in determining our quality of life.
Fortunately, yoga offers many practical evidence based tools and techniques to successfully manage stress. 

Dr. Ganesh Mohan will present ideas and practices that will help manage your stress and positively influence your state of well-being. This workshop is designed to be accessible to yoga practitioners/teachers, health care professionals, as well as those new to yoga. Participants need to bring their own yoga mat!

The evening will include a talk, Q&A, practice and book signing lead by Dr. Ganesh Mohan. There will be copies of his latest book there, Yoga Reminder: Lightened Reflections but you can bring your own copy if you would like to have it signed.

Dr. Ganesh Mohan is an internationally recognized yoga therapist and teacher. He is a physician formally trained in both allopathic medicine and Ayurveda. He is the son of yoga masters, A. G. Mohan (a personal student of Krishnamacharya for 18 years) and Indra Mohan, and was trained from childhood in yoga and other related areas. Dr. Mohan is co-author of Yoga Therapy, Krishnamacharya: His Life and Teachings, and their newly released book, Yoga Reminder: Lightened Reflections. He is an advisor to the International Association of Yoga Therapists USA and the Australian Association of Yoga Therapists.
